The Town of Dallas operates under a Board of Aldermen (elected governing body like a Town Council)-Town Manager form of government in which the full-time Town Manager serves as the chief Administrative Officer in charge of all day-to-day administrative and operating functions of Town Governance. The Manager is responsible for the supervision of all Town employees as well as the preparation and management of the Town Budget; the development and administration of policies; and the ongoing oversight of Town facilities and programs. The Manager represents the Town as chief spokesperson to the media and at local, county regional and state-wide events and forums. He/She also serves the function of leading and coordinating economic and community development initiatives and efforts.
