Economic Development
The Town of Dallas is committed to pursuing policies and initiatives which serve to support and enhance the long-term economic vitality of our small, but vibrant, historic community.
On matters of industrial development or redevelopment, we work closely with the Gaston County Economic Development Corporation and participate in the property tax incentive grant program managed by the EDC. For more information concerning this program, contact the Gaston County EDC at (704) 825-4046.

If you plan to create jobs and need help with possible infrastructure, utility connections or employee training there could be local or State grant assistance available. Contact Development Services or the Town Manager's Office at (704) 922-3176 for more information.

The Town of Dallas operates its own Municipal Electric Utility which allows our responsiveness, reliability and record of "outage minimization" to be second to none- all the while maintaining one of the most competitively-priced rate structures in the region. For assistance in evaluating a possible new service location, our staff is ready and eager to help.
