Dallas Rescue Squad

History
The Dallas Rescue Squad is one of very few remaining all-volunteer squads in Gaston County. Don McCombs and Earl Withers Sr.founded the squad in 1974.

Members
Dallas Rescue Squad currently has eight members who are Emergency Rescue Trained, and ERT certified. The squad also has a cadet-training program for youths ages 14 to 18. Currently, five trainees are on the squad. To become full members of the team, they will ride as cadets and receive training until they turn 18 years of age.

Local donations and special fundraising events provide exclusively for the financial needs of the squad. This funding is necessary for the continuation of providing critical emergency rescue services.
